The Case Western Reserve University women's soccer team will hit the road for two games this week, as they travel to Wooster, Ohio to face the College of Wooster on Tuesday, September 18th at 4:00 p.m. and then head to Washington, Pennsylvania to take on Washington & Jefferson College on Sunday, September 23rd at 4:00 p.m.

CWRU Spartans (3-2-0)
The Spartans scored three goals within the first 13 minutes of action on Wednesday night, as CWRU rolled to a 3-0 win over Hiram College. Freshman Christina Hickson scored two of the Spartans' three goals, while junior Kimberly Chen accounted for the other Spartan score.
Hickson connected on a 'golden goal' in the first overtime period on Saturday to give the Spartans a 1-0 over Chatham University. The game was scoreless throughout regulation, before Hickson struck for the game-winning score, her fifth of the season, with just 7:19 left to play in the first overtime period. The freshman launched a shot from the right side of the box that evaded the Chatham goalkeeper and found the back of the goal for the match-clinching score. Chen was credited with the assist after she made a perfect pass to Hickson to set up the goal.
Wooster Fighting Scots (4-0-3)
The Fighting Scots recorded a 1-0-2 record this past week, playing to a 1-1 draw with Mount St. Joseph on Wednesday evening, a 0-0 draw with Kalamazoo College on Saturday and then earned a 4-0 victory over Bethany College on Sunday.
Wooster is led offensively by senior Erica White who leads the team with 10 points on four goals and two assists, while junior Claire Davis has totaled seven points on three goals and one assist. In net, sophomore Molly Hunter has started every match for the Fighting Scots and has recorded a 3-0-2 record, while senior Maddy Ireton has seen action in four games and registered a 1-0-1 record.
Washington & Jefferson Presidents (1-3-1)
The Presidents were unable to answer a late first-half goal by Kenyon College on Wednesday as W&J fell to the Ladies by a 1-0 final score. On Saturday, the Presidents' picked up their first win of the campaign with a 1-0 overtime victory over Penn State Behrend. After 96 minutes of scoreless action, freshman Katie Hahn tallied the game-winning goal in the 97th minute.
Washington and Jefferson will host Franciscan University on Tuesday and then travel to Pittsburgh to take on Carnegie Mellon University on Friday, before welcoming the Spartans to Alexandre Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Freshman Christina Hickson is currently tied for first among all University Athletic Association players with five goals…Sophomore Lauren Metz ranks first in the UAA in save percentage (.857), second in saves (18) and fourth in both goals against (3) and goals-against average (0.69)…The Spartans have totaled 74 shots and 35 shots on goal in its first five games of the 2018 campaign…CWRU has held opponents to averages of just 5.4 shots on goal per game, and 10.6 shots per contest.
