The Case Western Reserve University women's soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision to eighth-ranked Brandeis University in a University Athletic Association contest on Saturday afternoon.
The Spartans fell to 5-4-3 with the loss, including a 0-1-1 mark in UAA games. Brandeis improved to 12-0-1 for the campaign with a 2-0-0 UAA mark.
The Judges started their scoring early on Saturday, when junior Haliana Burhans scored her second goal of the season via an assist from senior Cidney Moscovitch in the fourth minute of the game. Brandeis increased its advantage to 2-0 in the 13th minute, Moscovitch scored her fifth goal of the season off an assist from senior Jessica Morana.
The Judges struck for two more goals in the 28th and 29th minutes of play via unassisted goals by senior Michaela Friedman and sophomore Sasha Sunday, respectively.
The Spartans are back in action on Friday, October 14th at Emory University at 5:00 p.m. in Atlanta. The team will then travel to New York on Sunday, October 16th to play against the University of Rochester (N.Y.) at 11:00 a.m.
