Collier Claims Athlete of the Week Honors

Case Western Reserve University senior 165-pound wrestler Isaac Collier was named the University Athletic Association Athlete of the week, after posting a perfect 4-0 record at the 2020 Si Ostrach Meet on Saturday.

Collier helped the Spartans split four matches throughout the day, as he went 4-0 with three pins and a major decision. Collier pinned Raheem Clemons of Washington & Jefferson in 4:11, Ethan Garcia of Adrian in 4:41, and Chad Van Pelt of KSU-Tuscarawas in 30 seconds. He now has eight pins this season and 25 pins in his career. Collier also earned a 13-5 major decision victory over Waynesburg's Zach Mackall.

For the season, Collier has competed exclusively at 165 pounds and has an overall record of 14-10.

This was Collier's second career UAA Wrestler of the Week honor.

Case Western Reserve will now travel to Wheaton, Illinois on Friday, January 31st and Saturday February 1st for the Pete Willson Invitational hosted by Wheaton College. Competition is slated to begin at 12:00 p.m. ET on Friday and 11:00 a.m. ET on Saturday.
