Collier Named UAA Wrestler of the Week

Case Western Reserve University senior wrestler Isaac Collier was named the University Athletic Association Athlete of the week, after placing second in his weight class at the BW Invitational on Saturday.

Collier opened the invitational with a pin over Ohio Wesleyan's Caleb Blake in 2:50. He then earned a 6-5 decision over Ashland's Christian Price in the semifinals. In the first-place match of the 165-pound draw, Collier lost a 5-1 decision to Washington & Jefferson's Jared Walker, who currently ranks eighth in the rankings.

For the season, Collier has posted a 6-4 record in the 165 weight class with one pin and two technical falls.

This was Collier's first career UAA Wrestler of the Week honor.

Case Western Reserve will take a week off of competition before returning to action on Saturday, December 7th at the RIT Invitational.
