The Case Western Reserve University wrestling team is set to open their intercollegiate schedule on Friday, November 1st when the team competes at the Cleveland Clash.
The Cleveland Clash will be hosted by Cleveland State University at the Woodling Gym in Cleveland, Ohio. Action at the event is scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m.
The meet will be held in a 'Round Robin' format, where CWRU, Cleveland State and John Carroll University will be scored in three separate dual meets. There will be simultaneous matches on two mats as all three schools wrestle one another concurrently.
The projected lineup for the Spartans on Friday include sophomores Adam Kates and Patrick Hebreard in the 125 pound weight class, senior Jacob Frisch and sophomore Duncan Clayton in the 133 pound weight class, senior Alec Hoover and sophomore Brandon Callow in the 141 pound weight class, senior Andrew Hoover, sophomores Brandon Barton and Manhattan Gatton and first-year Brad Staron in the 149 pound weight class, junior Thomas Gallagher and sophomore Jack Chipps in the 157 pound weight class, senior Isaac Collier in the 165 pound weight class, sophomore Kyle Roberts in the 174 pound weight class, first-year Stephen Andryc in the 184 pound weight class, juniors Brian Kent and Joey Shulik in the 197 pound weight class and sophomore Grant Robinson in the 285 pound weight class.
This will be CWRU's first intercollegiate competition of the season.
