The Case Western Reserve University wrestling team will travel to Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana for the 2019 NCAA Division III Central Regional Championships on Friday, February 22nd and Saturday, February 23rd.

Action is slated to begin on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with the preliminary round, first round, quarterfinals, and the first three rounds of the consolation brackets all scheduled for the first day. The Regional Championships will resume on Saturday, February 23rd with the remainder of the matches taking place during the day.

The NCAA Division III Championships qualifying tournament is a two-day, double-elimination format. The top-three placers in each weight class will earn automatic bids to the NCAA Division III Championships from March 8th – 9th at the Berglund Center in Roanoke, Virginia.

Limited to one wrestler per weight class, nine Spartans are currently scheduled to be attending the meet, including freshman Adam Kates (125 pounds), junior Alec Hoover (133 pounds), junior Jacob Frisch (141 pounds), junior Andrew Hoover (149 pounds), freshman Jack Chipps (157 pounds), junior Isaac Collier (165 pounds), sophomore Brian Kent (184 pounds), senior Gavin Dersh-Fisher (197 pounds) and senior Brian McNamara (285 pounds).

Along with CWRU and host Wabash, other schools scheduled to participate include Adrian, Alma, Baldwin Wallace, Defiance, Heidelberg, John Carroll, Manchester, Mount St. Joseph, Mount Union, Muskingum, Ohio Northern, Ohio Wesleyan, Olivet, Otterbein, Thomas More, Trine and Wilmington.
