The Case Western Reserve University wrestling team will return to action for the first time following its winter break, when the Spartans travel to Waynesburg, Pennsylvania for the eighth-annual Waynesburg Invitational on Saturday, January 5th.
Action at the tournament is slated to begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday at the Rudy Marisa Fieldhouse on the Waynesburg campus.

The Spartans will be back in action for the first time since the squad took part in the RIT Invitational on December 1st.
Junior 133-pound wrestler Alec Hoover has led the Spartans with 12 wins (12-4 overall), including four pins. Junior Isaac Collier has also added 12 wins (12-4 overall) with two pins and two technical falls at the 165-pound weight class. Freshmen Grant Robinson and Duncan Clayton have each registered seven wins in their respective weight classes, while Robinson has also gathered a team-high seven pins on the season.
Case Western Reserve is one of 18 teams currently scheduled to compete at Saturday's Waynesburg Invitational, along with Alderson Broadus, Alma, Alfred State, Apprentice, Gettysburg, Lycoming, Lake Erie, Mount Union, Mt. St. Joseph, Muskingum, Ohio Valley, Pitt.-Bradford, Trinity (Conn.), Thomas More, Maryland – Baltimore County, Washington & Jefferson and Waynesburg.
