    Day 6 Blog: Unfortunately, beach wrestling was cancelled due to poor weather. However, the rain did not keep us indoors as the day after competition was spent exploring the town Stetino, and the beaches of Sardina.

    An all-star team of NCAA Division III wrestlers from Case Western Reserve University and John Carroll University competed in the men’s freestyle at the Sassari City Matteo Pellicone Memorial International, a UWW Ranking Tournament, in Italy this past weekend.

    Day 1 Blog: Today we started off the trip by driving to Toronto on the charter bus. The group had to go through the US/Candadian border. We arrived at the Toronto airport and the whole crew made it through security with no problems. We grabbed a bite to eat at the airport before the long flight and boarded the plane. It was a night flight so most of us tried to sleep as much as possible. Everyone is very excited to get into Italy!

The 10-day trip will provide the wrestlers with an opportunity for sightseeing and other once-in-a-lifetime experiences, in addition to having the chance to compete at the prestigious Matteo Pellicone Open.
