CWRU Wrestling Set to Host Adrian for Final Home Match of the Season

The Case Western Reserve University wrestling team is set to host Adrian College on Wednesday, January 17th at 7:00 p.m. in Horsburgh Gymnasium. Wednesday's match will serve as the final home match of the season for the Spartans.

Junior Gavin Dersh-Fisher and sophomore Andrew Hoover paced the Spartans at the 2018 Si Ostrach Meet on Saturday, as each picked up two wins. For the season, Dersh Fisher has totaled 12 win (12-6, three pins at 197 pounds), while Hoover has also picked up 12 wins (12-8 overall), including three pins.

Adrian is 2-5 in dual matches during the 2017-18 campaign. Included in the team's record is a 2-2 mark in road matches during the campaign. The Bulldogs are led by second-year head coach Bill Schindel. He is assisted by Justin Reinsma.

10 wrestlers are currently scheduled to compete for the Spartans, including freshman Anand Shah (125 pounds), sophomore Alec Hoover (133 pounds), Andrew Hoover (141 pounds), sophomore Ben Kring or freshman Thomas Gallagher (149 pounds), sophomore Andrew Munn (157 pounds), senior Connor Gordon (165 pounds), senior Nick Tommas (174 pounds), senior Nate Tommas (184 pounds), junior Gavin Dersh-Fisher (197 pounds) and junior Brian McNamara (285 pounds).
