The Case Western Reserve University wrestling team will travel to York College in York, Pennsylvania for the 2017 NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Championships on Saturday, February 25th and Sunday, February 26th.

Action is slated to begin on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with the preliminary round, first round, quarterfinals, and the first three rounds of the consolation brackets all scheduled for the first day. The Regional Championships will resume on Sunday, February 26th with the remainder of the matches taking place during the day.

The NCAA Division III Championships qualifying tournament is a two-day, double-elimination format. The top three placers in each weight class will earn automatic bids to the NCAA Division III Championships March 10th -11th La Crosse, Wisconsin.

Limited to one wrestler per weight class, 10 Spartans are currently scheduled to be attending the meet, including freshman Jacob Frisch (125 pounds), freshman Alec Hoover (133 pounds), freshman Andrew Hoover (141 pounds), freshman Isaac Collier (149 pounds), freshman Andrew Munn (157 pounds), junior Connor Gordon (165 pounds), junior Nate Tommas (174 pounds), junior Cito Balsells (184 pounds), sophomore Gavin Dersh-Fisher (197 pounds) and sophomore Brian McNamara (285 pounds).

Along with CWRU and host York (Pa.), other schools scheduled to participate include Baldwin Wallace, Brockport, Elizabethtown, Heidelberg, John Carroll, Keystone, Lycoming, Messiah, Mount Union, Muskingum, Oswego, RIT, Scranton, Thiel, Washington & Jefferson, Waynesburg and Wilkes.
