Each match will begin approximately 15 minutes following the completion of the previous contest. Competition is expected to conclude by 4:00 p.m.

Following the conclusion of the match, there will be an awards ceremony, as the All-UAA teams, along with the Most Outstanding Wrestler, Rookie of the Year, and Coaching Staff of the Year, will be named.

The Spartans are 2-5 this season, including a 28-14 win over Muskingum University in their latest dual match. CWRU has won the UAA Championship five times over its history, most recently during the 1996 season. The squad has been led by freshman Isaac Collier, who has gone 21-12 with four pins and three technical falls this year. Last season, sophomore Brian McNamara was named the UAA Rookie of the Year and was also the All-UAA wrestler in the 285-pound weight class.

NYU will be looking to win its sixth-consecutive UAA Championship, and the 10th overall in the program's history. The Violets are 15-4 this season, and feature a pair of nationally ranked wrestlers, including the second-ranked 133-pounder in Division III in senior Nathan Pike, and the seventh-ranked 174-pounder in senior John Messinger.

Chicago, 5-3 on the season, has claimed 15 UAA titles over its history, the last in 2011. Included on the Maroons 2016-17 roster are three wrestlers that were named All-UAA last season in 125-pound junior Devan Richter, 141-pound sophomore Mason Williams and 165-pound junior Nick Ferraro.
