The Case Western Reserve University wrestling team will hit the road this weekend, when the Spartans travel to Collegeville, Pennsylvania for the Will Abele Invitational, hosted by Ursinus College, on Saturday, January 14th, and to Allentown, Pennsylvania for a tri-meet against Penn State Mont Alto and host Muhlenberg College on Sunday, January 15th.

Fans can also follow both dual matches on Sunday with live video at https://portal.stretchinternet.com/muhlenberg/. The Spartans are scheduled to wrestle against Penn State Mont Alto at 11:00 a.m. and then Muhlenberg at 12:00 p.m.
Freshman 149-pound wrestler Isaac Collier has led the Spartans this season with 14 wins (14-8 overall), including two technical falls and one pin. Sophomore Gavin Dersh-Fisher has added 10 wins (10-6 overall) with three pins in the 197-pound weight class, while freshman Alec Hoover (9-8, two pins and two technical falls at 133 pounds) has recorded nine wins on the season.
Case Western Reserve is one of 13 teams currently scheduled to compete at Saturday's Will Abele Invitational at Ursinus, along with Alderson Broaddus, Middlesex, Muhlenberg, Oneonta, Penn State Wrestling Club, Penn State Mont Alto, Rowan, Maryland – Baltimore County, Ursinus, Valley Forge Military Academy, West Chester, and Wilkes.
Penn State Mont Alto is 2-4 in dual matches this season, and will also be competing at the Will Abele Invitational on Saturday. Mont Alto is led by first-year head coach Chris Leese. He is assisted by Bill Lloyd.
Muhlenberg is 7-5 in dual matches during the 2016-17 campaign. The Mules are led by Jake Gordon, who is 16-9 in the 174-pound weight class, and Jimmy Fratantoni, who is 14-9 in the 165-pound weight class.
