The Case Western Reserve University wrestling team will return to action this week for the first time following its winter break, when the Spartans travel to Waynesburg, Ohio for the sixth-annual Waynesburg Invitational on Saturday, January 7th.
Action at the tournament is slated to begin at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Rudy Marisa Fieldhouse on the Waynesburg campus.

The Spartans will be back in action for the first time since a portion of the squad took part in the RIT Invitational on December 3rd.
Sophomore 197-pound wrestler Gavin Dersh-Fisher has led the Spartans this season with nine wins (9-6 overall), including three pins. Freshman Isaac Collier has added eight wins (8-6 overall) with one technical fall at the 149-pound weight class, while freshman Alec Hoover (6-6, two pins and two technical falls at 133 pounds) and freshman Jacob Frisch (6-6, two pins and one technical fall at 125 pounds) have each registered six wins on the season.
Case Western Reserve is one of 12 teams currently scheduled to compete at Saturday's Waynesburg Invitational, along with Heidelberg, Johns Hopkins, Maryland – Baltimore County, Muskingum, Ohio Northern, Ohio Valley, Penn College, Thiel, Washington & Jefferson and Waynesburg.
