PITTSFORD, N.Y. – Case Western Reserve University sophomore heavyweight Nate Lewis (Chagrin Falls, Ohio/Kenston) has been named the University Athletic Association Co-Wrestler of the Week for the first time in his career.

Lewis scored the winning pin in a 27-22 dual match victory at Washington & Jefferson College (Pa.) on Friday, January 23. The Spartans (6-6) trailed by a score of 22-9 before rallying for 12 points in a row at 184 and 197. That set the stage for Lewis, who scored his fourth pin of the season in a time of 6:59 against W&J's Yamil Cristobal-Perez.

Also an offensive lineman on the CWRU football team, Lewis is 10-6 in his first season with the wrestling team.

Lewis and the Spartans are back in action this coming Friday and Saturday, January 30-31 at the Pete Willson Invitational hosted by Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois. Action is set to begin at 11:00 a.m. (CT) each day.
