Case Western Reserve Drops Lone Home Dual Match Versus No. 14 Mount Union, 44-5

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Case Western Reserve University wrestling team dropped its lone home dual match of the season by a score of 44-5 to No. 14 nationally-ranked University of Mount Union on Saturday, January 21 inside Horsburgh Gymnasium.

The Spartans fall to 0-7 overall in dual matches and return to tournament action next Friday, January 27 and Saturday, January 28 when they take part in the Pete Willson Invitational hosted by Wheaton College (Ill.). The Purple Raiders improve to 6-4.

Spartan senior All-American Isaac Dukes (Ravenna, Ohio/Ravenna) notched the lone points for the hosts with a technical fall at 157 pounds over Tyler Johnston.

In the very next match at 165 pounds, Spartan senior Kyle Weaver (Delaware, Ohio/Olentangy) produced an exciting match against Mount Union's John Piechuta before falling in overtime by a 12-10 tally.
