Chester Orr was the captain of CIT’s football squads at a time when they were considered to be the best team in the state. During his three years in uniform, CIT recorded 19 shutouts and compiled a 23-6 record. Orr was the quarterback, safety, punter, field goal kicker, kickoff specialist and kick returner for the 1903 squad which finished 9-1, outscored its opponents 245-37, and beat Ohio State, 12-0. The next season, Case posted an 8-2 record and repeated as state champion.
