Andrea Nagy was named the Spartans' full-time Assistant Softball Coach in the Fall of 2018, and will begin her fourth season overall with the Spartans coaching staff in 2019.
Nagy joined the Spartans as a part-time assistant for her second stint with the team in 2018, helping the squad to the most successful season in program history. Under Nagy's leadership, Case Western Reserve finished fifth at the 2018 NCAA Division III Championships (the best finish by any team in school history), while helping the team to a program-best record of 38-12. The Spartans finished the year ranked sixth in Division III, with the coaching staff earning NFCA Regional and UAA Coaching Staff of the Year honors.
Nagy's first stint with the Spartans during the 2014 and 2015 seasons led to similar success, with the team winning the UAA Championship and UAA Coaching Staff of the Year honors in 2014. In between her time at CWRU, Nagy served as an Assistant Softball Coach and Graduate Assistant for the Capital University program, helping lead the team to an Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament Runner-Up finish in 2017.
Nagy earned her Bachelor's Degree in Communciation Management from NCAA Division I Cleveland State University in August 2012, where she also was a member of the softball team. She was an infielder for the Vikings, helping lead the team to Horizon League Championships in 2008 and 2010, and an NCAA Regional Tournament appearance in 2009. Nagy secured her Master's Degree in Business Administration from Capital University in 2017.
