Case Western Reserve University junior catcher Dusstyn Reynolds was named the University Athletic Association Hitter of the Week, after helping the Spartans post a 5-3 record during their spring break trip to Florida this past week.
Reynolds batted .469 (15-for-32) with seven RBI's and three doubles. Reynolds notched a hit in all but one game throughout the trip, and registered five multiple-hit games. During Monday's sweep of Heidelberg University and Haverford College, she went a combined three-for-eight with one RBI and one run scored. In the Spartans' losses to Nebraska Wesleyan and Wisconsin Lutheran on Thursday, Reynolds went a combined seven-for-nine at the plate, including a perfect four-for-four performance against Nebraska Wesleyan.
For the season, Reynolds leads the team with a .525 batting average (21-for-40), and has totaled eight RBI's, seven runs scored and three doubles. Case Western Reserve finished the shortened 2020 campaign with a 6-4 overall record.
This was Reynold's second career UAA Hitter of the Week honor.
