The Case Western Reserve University softball team will begin their 2020 season as the team is set to travel to Clermont, Florida to play 10 games in six days from March 8th – 13th at The Spring Games in Clermont, Florida.

The Spartans will open their 2020 campaign in Florida after this past weekend's games in Marietta were cancelled due to inclement weather. CWRU is slated to return 12 players from last year's team that went 25-13 overall, including all-region selections in senior first baseman Nicole Carty (.422, seven home runs, 27 RBIs), junior outfielder Arisa Cleaveland (.406, nine doubles, 35 runs scored) and sophomore infielder/designated player Liv Thomas (.396, six home runs, 29 RBIs). The Spartans' roster will also feature three newcomers in 2020.
Case Western Reserve is guided by Head Coach Josie Henry, who is in her 10th season with the program. Henry is assisted by Julie Pratt, Ashley Parello, Hannah Mehrle and Nicole Doyle.

The Major have opened their 2020 season with a record of 8-6. They are scheduled to begin play at The Spring Games on Saturday against Washington and Jefferson College. Millsaps is led by senior Kendall Carder and junior Leslie Norris, who each lead the team with 16 hits apiece.
The Majors are led by Caroline DeLoach in her second season. She is assisted by Melanie Savala and Kayla Reel.
#14 Ithaca Bombers
Ithaca will begin their season on Sunday at The Spring Games, as they open up against Swarthmore College. The Bombers finished the 2019 season with a 28-9-1 record, and advanced to the NCAA Super Regional.
Ithaca is led by Hannah Quintana in her first season. She is assisted by Kelly Robichaud and Dan Raymond.
Heidelberg Student Princes
The Student Princes will also begin their season on Sunday at The Spring Games, as they open up against Penn State Behrend and Mount St. Joseph. Heidelberg returns 10 players who saw action for more than half the season in 2019.
The Student Princes are led by Mari Deppe in her first season. She is assisted by Erin Chapman and Savannah Sarkine.
Haverford will open their 2020 season at The Spring Games after closing the 2019 season with a 28-12 mark. The Fords return seven of their nine regular starters from the lineup a season ago and all five of their pitchers from last year's team.
Haverford is under the leadership of Kate Poppe who is in her third season with the program. She is assisted by Russ Hartz, Bridget Magee and Chris Poppe.
The Bulldogs have opened the 2020 season with a record of 2-2. They will host the College of New Jersey on Wednesday, before beginning play in Florida on Sunday. DeSales is led by senior Alexa Marasheski, who has collected a team-best six hits throughout the first four games of the season.
The Bulldogs are led by Rachel Turoscy in her 18th season. She is assisted by Melissa Parker and Karen Bauer.
#11 Kean Cougars
Kean has begun their 2020 season with an 8-0 record. They are scheduled to begin play at The Spring Games on Saturday against Muskingum. Junior Gabriella Fredette has led the Cougars so far this season, tallying 14 hits in 23 at-bats, while also driving in six runs.
Kean is under the leadership of Margie Acker in her 21st season with the program. She is assisted by Chrissy Yard, Emily Sabo, Olivia Zengel, Erin Hollyfield and Dana Knapp.
Nebraska Wesleyan Prairie Wolves
The Prairie Wolves opened their 2020 season with a 2-2 record. NWU is led by junior Ashlee Mayorga and freshman Emma Alfieri, who each lead the team with four hits apiece. Setting the pitching pace for NWU is junior Kailey Meyer who leads the team with eight strikeouts in 13.2 innings pitched.
The Prairie Wolves are led by Mary Yori in her fifth season. She is assisted by Mike Roth, Jennie Harp, LeighAnn Novotny and Rachel Burrack.
Wisconsin Lutheran Warriors
WLC has opened the 2020 season with a record of 1-1 after splitting a pair of games to Beloit on Monday. Senior Karah Ritacco has led the Warriors so far this season as she has tallied five hits, including a home run and six runs batted in.
Wisconsin Lutheran is under the leadership of James Flegel who is in his first season with the program. He is assisted by Rachel Vogt, Mikayla Hilton and Katie Goodman.
St. Joseph's Golden Eagles
The Golden Eagles will begin their 2020 season against the Spartans on Friday, March 13th. SJC finished last season with 20-15 overall record, including a 13-3 mark in conference play.
The Golden Eagles are led by Lisa Jusino in her fifth season. She is assisted by Melyssa Cilmi, Katiebeth Andrews and Sharon Hanley.
Coe will open up their season on Thursday, March 12th, as they open up against Manhattanville College and Meredith College. The Kohawks finished the 2019 season with a 33-11 record and advanced to the NCAA UW-Whitewater Regional.
Coe is under the leadership of Diane Meyer who is in her sixth season with the program. She is assisted by Jake Koolbeck, Alyssa Olson and Courtnee Hahn.
