The Case Western Reserve University softball team will travel to University Heights, Ohio to John Carroll University for a doubleheader starting at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26th.

The Spartans will enter Tuesday's matchup against Blue Streaks with an overall record of 9-5, following a 5-1 record this past week. The team has hit .354 this season and averaged 6.9 runs per game this season, while the pitching staff has a team ERA of 2.98 with an opponent's batting average of .272.
Case Western Reserve is under the leadership of Head Coach Josie Henry, who is in her ninth season with the team, and has a career record of 214-132. Henry is assisted by Andrea Nagy, Ashley Parello, Katelyn Gibson and Hannah Mehrle.
John Carroll Blue Streaks
The Blue Streaks are currently 9-5 overall for the season, after splitting a doubleheader to Capital University in University Heights on Sunday. John Carroll has hit .301 this year and averaged 5.3 runs per game, while the pitching staff has a 2.62 ERA with a .255 opponents' batting average.
The Blue Streaks are led by Head Coach Nicole Loudin, who is in her sixth season with the program. She is assisted by Bruce Anderson.
Last year, the Spartans and Blue Streaks played a doubleheader at Mather Park in Cleveland, Ohio, with CWRU winning the first game 3-1, and also claiming a 12-5 win during the second game. Junior Ilissa Hamilton started the first game and allowed just one run on three hits and struck out seven batters to earn the win. Sophomore Sidney Brannam started the second game and went six innings to earn the victory.
Junior Nicole Carty is first on the squad with a .512 batting average (22-for-43), leads the team with 22 hits and 14 runs scored…Carty and senior Nicole Doyle each lead the squad with seven multiple hit games this year…Sophomore Dusstyn Reynolds has a team-best six multiple RBI games this season, while also ranking tied for first on the team in home runs (3) with freshman Liv Thomas…The Spartans have hit .374 (52-for-139) with runners in scoring position this season, and .659 (29-for-44) with a runner on third and less than two outs.
