The UAA Champion is determined based on winning percentage among teams with at least 10 UAA games played.  Chicago, which does not play a full UAA schedule, is not eligible for the UAA Title this season, and games against Chicago do not count as UAA games.

CWRU Spartans
The Spartans will begin their second UAA road weekend with an overall record of 14-9 and 5-4 in the conference, after winning three out the four games played against New York University last weekend. The team has hit .304 this season and averaged 4.8 runs per game this season, while the pitching staff has a team ERA of 3.46 with an opponent's batting average of .276.

Case Western Reserve is under the leadership of Head Coach Josie Henry, who is in her seventh season with the team, and has a career record of 161-107. Henry is assisted by Shannel Blackshear and Ashley Parello.

Washington Bears
The Bears will host their first UAA home series of the season this weekend, as they enter with an overall record of 14-9 and 2-2 in the UAA. Washington has hit .300 this year and averaged 5.8 runs per game, while the pitching staff has a 2.54 ERA with a .238 opponents' batting average.

The Bears are led by Head Coach Michelle Venturella, who is in her first season with the program. She is assisted by Kaitlyn Dulac, Mitch Thomas and Russell Cooper.

Series History
While the teams have previously met annually at the UAA tournament in Altamonte Springs, Florida, this will be the first year that CWRU and Wash. U will play on a campus site during the Coach Henry era.

Last year, the Spartans dropped their two games against Washington during the UAA Championships, falling 7-3 in the first game, and then losing 4-1 in the second contest.
