CLEVELAND – In a move that came as no surprise based on continued inclement weather, the Case Western Reserve University home softball doubleheader scheduled for Wednesday, March 27 versus the University of Mount Union has been postponed. The games have been rescheduled for Monday, April 15 beginning at 3:00 p.m. at Mather Park.
This marks the second time that the doubleheader has been rescheduled after the initial date of March 20 was postponed.
The Spartans (7-8) have not played since March 16 in Florida and have now seen four-straight doubleheader dates postponed. However, with improved weather in the forecast, the team is expected to return to action on the road this Saturday, March 30 with a 1:00 p.m. twinbill at No. 5 nationally-ranked Trine University in Angola, Indiana.
The team then hopes to finally open the home portion of the schedule on Monday, April 1 versus Geneva College (Pa.) at 3:30 p.m.
