    LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A pair of infielders from the Case Western Reserve University softball team have been selected to the 2013 National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Central Region Team, announced by the organization on Friday. Sophomore second baseman Molly O’Brien (Northbrook, Ill./Loyola) was named to the first team, while freshman third baseman Rachel Komar (Chesterland, Ohio/West Geauga) garnered second-team honors.

The Spartans, who completed a perfect 8-0 slate in home games, defeated Geneva by scores of 7-0 and 2-1.

Within the UAA, All-Academic Recognition is awarded to student-athletes who have completed at least one full year of college study and who carry a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.300.
