Razanauskas Named UAA Men’s XC Athlete of the Week

Case Western Reserve University junior Trey Razanauskas was named the University Athletic Association men's cross country Athlete of the Week, after helping pace the 30th-ranked Spartans at the 2019 All-Ohio Championships in Cedarville, Ohio on Saturday afternoon.

Competing in his first race of the season, Razanauskas was the Spartans' top-finishing runner, completing the 8K course in a time of 26:00.4.  He finished 15th overall out of the 301 runners in the race, and was sixth among Division III competitors.

Razanauskas' finish helped he Spartans finished fifth out of all NCAA (Division I, II & III), NAIA and NJCAA teams competing at the All-Ohio Championships, and second among Division III squads.

This was the first UAA Athlete of the Week award of Razanauskas' career as a Spartan.  He becomes the second Spartan to garner the award for cross country this season, along with senior David Hall (September 9).

Case Western Reserve will be back in action this weekend at the Pre-National Meet on Saturday, October 5th in Louisville, Kentucky.
