Case Western Reserve University senior David Hall was named the University Athletic Association Athlete of the Week for men's cross country, after leading the 19th-ranked Spartans to a third-place finish at the Knight Invite in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Saturday.
Hall was the top finisher for the Spartans, placing 18th out of 218 runners in the race. He completed the 8K course in a time of 25:43.2.
This was the first career UAA Athlete of the Week honor for Hall, who is the first member of the CWRU men's cross country team to win the award since former Spartan Sam Merriman on September 7, 2015.
Hall's finish helped the Spartans place third out of 24 teams at the meet. Case Western Reserve will be back in action this Saturday, September 14th, at the Gator Invitational in Meadville, Pennsylvania.
