CWRU XC Teams Receive USTFCCCA All-Academic Awards; Seven Individuals Recognized

The Case Western Reserve University men's and women's cross country teams each received All-Academic Awards from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association, while seven team members were recognized with individual All-Academic honors.

For a team to be considered for the award, it must have competed and compiled a team score at an NCAA Regional meet and have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.10 on a 4.00 scale.

The Case Western Reserve men had a cumulative combined GPA of 3.65, the fourth-highest among all recognized Division III teams.  The women's 3.74 GPA was good for the sixth-highest among Division III schools to receive the award.

In addition, seniors Aidan DeSanto, Sam Merriman, Zach Roshon and Ben Whitman of the men's team and junior Jennifer Hoffmann, senior Danielle Kulpins and sophomore Madeline Lindemann all received USTFCCCA Individual All-Academic Awards.  In order to qualify for the award, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher and finish in the top-25 percent of their regional championship meet.
