Five individuals from the Case Western Reserve University men's indoor track and field teams earned All-Great Lakes Region honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as the 2019-20 NCAA Division III honorees were announced on Monday.
Five Spartan men earned honors in their respective events, including senior Jonathan Haling (DMR), senior Michael Hradesky (DMR), first-year Joe Jaster (DMR), senior Dominic Oddo (heptathlon, long jump) and sophomore Logan Singer (DMR, mile).
The distance medley relay team of Haling, Hradesky, Jaster and Singer placed second at the 2020 All-Ohio Championships with a time of 10:24.19.
Singer's best time in mile-run came at the 2020 University Athletic Association Indoor Track and Field Championships with a new school record time of 4:13.03.
Oddo set a new school record in the heptathlon at the 2020 Polar Bear Final Qualifier this past weekend after scoring 4,768 points to break the previous school record of 4,733 points set at the 2019 Polar Bear Final Qualifier. Oddo also earned a second-place finish in the long jump at the UAA Indoor Championships with a mark of 7.04 meters.
Oddo has qualified to compete at the 2020 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships this weekend in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The rest of the Spartans are now in preparation for the 2020 outdoor season which is set to kick-off on Friday, March 20th at the Washington & Lee University Track Carnival.
