Laios, Oddo & Razanauskas Set to Represent CWRU at NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships

Case Western Reserve University graduate student Cassandra Laios, junior Dominic Oddo and sophomore Trey Razanauskas will make the short trip over to Geneva, Ohio for the 2019 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships, where they will be aiming for All-America finishes in their respective events.

Laios will compete in the discus on Thursday, May 23rd at 12:30 p.m., the shot put on Friday, May 24th at 2:00 p.m. and in the hammer throw on Saturday, May 25th at 11:00 a.m. The fifth-year Spartan, making her second national meet appearance, is seeded second in the hammer throw with a mark of 55.96 meters, ninth in the shot put with a toss of 14.20 meters and 15th in the discus with a mark of 45.11 meters.

Laios achieved her qualifying mark in the hammer throw and in the discus at the Harrison Dillard Twilight on May 10th. She achieved her qualifying mark in the shot put when she finished first in the event at Outdoor UAA Championships on April 27th.

Oddo will compete in the men's decathlon beginning on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. with five events (100-meter dash, long jump, shot put, high jump and 400-meter dash) and then conclude the decathlon on Friday starting at 10:00 a.m. (110-meter hurdles, discus, pole vault, javelin, 1,500-meter run). Oddo is seeded 13th in decathlon with a score of 6,487 points.

Oddo achieved his qualifying score this past week when he placed second in the event at the 2019 Gregory Invitational.

Razanauskas will compete in the 5,000-meter run on Saturday, May 25th at 3:25 p.m. He is seeded 14th in the event with a time of 14:24.91. Razanauskas achieved his qualifying time in the 5,000-meter run when he set a school-record and placed fourth in the event during the Dr. Keeler Invitational on May 9th.

The NCAA Championships are being hosted by the University of Mount Union and the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio. The official meet website can be found at
