The Case Western Reserve University track and field teams will prepare to host the CWRU Invitational on Saturday, April 20th at DiSanto Field on the CWRU campus. Action at the meet is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.
Along with Case Western Reserve, eight teams are slated to participate at the meet, including Allegheny, Cleveland State, Defiance, Fredonia, John Carroll, Oberlin, Thiel and Ursuline.
Fans unable to attend Saturday's meet can follow the action with a live webcast at https://athletics.case.edu/sports/mtrack/live. Video coverage will be available only for events that occur near the track. All throwing events will take place at a separate location that will not have video coverage.
Currently three different individual Spartans have registered times/marks that rank among the top-25 competitors in Division III this season. Graduate student Cassandra Laios is 1st in Division III with a mark of 55.05 meters in the hammer, 11th with a toss of 13.48 meters in the shot put and 23rd in the discus with a mark of 42.08 meters. Junior Dominic Oddo is 11th in Division III with a score of 6,097 points in the decathlon, while sophomore Trey Razanauskas is 21st with a time of 30:49.55 in the 10,000-meter run.
Results and a recap of CWRU's performances at the meet will be posted to athletics.case.edu following the completion of competition on Saturday.
