In the final weekend of competition before the 2019 Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships, the Case Western Reserve University men's and women's track and field teams will send juniors Michael Hradesky, Dominic Oddo and Abbey Waltz to compete on Friday March 1st and Saturday, March 2nd at the 2019 Polar Bear Final Qualifier hosted by Ohio Northern University.
Hradesky will compete in the 800-meter run after placing sixth in the event last weekend at the UAA Indoor Championships with a time of 1:57.13.
Oddo will be competing in the men's heptathlon. He currently holds the school record in the event after totaling 4,615 points during the 2018 Division III All-Ohio Multi-Events Championship.
Waltz will compete in the pole vault after placing fourth in the event at the UAA Championships last weekend. She hit a new school record mark of 3.63 meters, which bests former Spartan Christen Saccucci's mark of 3.50 meters set back in 2016.
Waltz is currently ranked No. 29 in Division III with her school-record mark of 3.63 meters in the pole vault.
A total of 20 men and 20 women will be selected to compete on the national stage from each event and that will be announced on Monday.
Oddo will begin competition in the heptathlon on Friday at 12:00 p.m. and then resume events on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. Waltz is scheduled to compete at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while Hradesky is scheduled to run at 12.00 p.m.
