The Case Western Reserve University track and field teams will no longer be competing at the Kent State Golden Gala this weekend, due to facility issues on the Kent State University campus. Instead, the Spartans will be traveling to Youngstown State University for the YSU Icebreaker on Friday, December 7th.

The Spartans will still be sending 16 athletes to the meet, where they are slated to compete against mostly NCAA Division I and II competition. Currently scheduled to be in action at the meet for the CWRU women are graduate student Cassandra Laios, senior Olivia Newman, junior Samantha Kelts, junior Shahed Eid, junior Maria King, sophomore Julie Hines and freshman Ana Scherf. The Spartan men that will be competing are senior Ananth Suresh, senior Ryan DeMarinis, junior Dominic Oddo, junior Michael Hradesky, junior Jonathan Haling, junior Brian Holden, sophomore Musa Hakim Jr., freshman Logan Singer and freshman Juan Perez.
Results and a recap of the Spartans' performances at the meet will be posted to athletics.case.edu following the completion of competition on Friday.
