The Case Western Reserve University track and field teams will continue its outdoor campaign this weekend, when the team travels to New Concord, Ohio for the Amy Adams Memorial Invitational, hosted by Muskingum University on Friday, March 23rd through Saturday, March 24th.
Action at the meet is slated to begin with the women's hammer throw on Friday, March 23rd at 3:30 p.m. The first day will conclude with the women's javelin at 5:30 p.m.
The meet will resume on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with the women's pole vault, and on the track with the women's and men's 10,000-meter run. Action is slated to wrap up with the men's 4x400-meter relay. The track events will follow a rolling time schedule.
After one week of competition in the outdoor season, the Spartan men have totaled five marks that rank among the top-25 in Division III this year. Sophomore Michael Hradesky is 18th (1:56.64) in the 800-meter run, senior Grant Mlack is 13th (15.44) in the 110-meter hurdles and 18th (56.73) in the 400-meter hurdles, sophomore Dominic Oddo is 24th (57.52) in the 400-meter hurdles and freshman Dmytro Blundell is 20th (9:53.94) in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
For the women, sophomore Madeline Lindemann ranks seventh nationally in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 37:45.82. Other top-25 DII times/marks by the Spartan women came from senior Rachel Laveson in the 10,000-meter run (15th, 39:44.01), senior Nimi Gupta in the hammer throw (16th, 43.43 meters), and junior Marina Yu in the hammer throw (22nd, 42.48 meters).
