Case Western Reserve University sophomore Dominic Oddo was named the University Athletic Association Athlete of the Week for men's field, following his performance at the 10th-Annual Battle for the Obelisk on Saturday in the Veale Center.
Oddo earned the title in the men's long jump with a mark of 7.00 meters, a mark good enough for a new school record and meet record. Oddo surpassed his previous school record of 6.97 meters set earlier this indoor season. Oddo also added another first-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.65. His mark in the long jump currently ranks first in the University Athletic Association.
This was Oddo's second UAA Athlete of the Week honor of his career.
The Spartans are back in action this weekend, as they travel to Ada, Ohio on Saturday, February 3rd for the Joe Banks Invitational hosted by Ohio Northern University.
