Case Western Reserve University freshman javelin thrower Brian Holden and junior thrower Cassandra Laios were named the University Athletic Association Athletes of the Week for men's and women's field events, following their performances at the Harrison Dillard Twilight at Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, Ohio on Friday.
Holden earned a third place finish in the javelin throw with a mark of 56.19 meters, which currently ranks as the best mark in the UAA and 47th in Division III. This was the first UAA Athlete of the Week honor of his career.
