Case Western Reserve University senior sprinter Nathaniel Wahner was named the University Athletic Association Athletes of the Week for men's track, following his performances at the Ashland Alumni Open at Ashland University this past weekend.
Wahner was a member of the 4x400-meter relay team that finished first overall at the meet with a time of 3:15.98, which bested their previous school record of 3:16.55 set during the 2017 UAA Outdoor Championships. The time currently ranks first in the UAA and 10th in Division III.
Wahner also added a fourth-place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.33 seconds. This was his third UAA Athlete of the Week honor of his career.
Case Western Reserve is scheduled to return to competition at the Dr. Keeler Invitational, hosted by North Central College in Naperville, Illinois on Friday, May 12th.
