CWRU Track & Field in Action at Two Meets this Weekend

The Case Western Reserve University track and field teams will be back in action this weekend, as the squad will be split between a pair of meets. Runners will be at the Marv Frye Track and Field Invitational at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio on Saturday, April 8th, while the throwers will be competing at the Bob Kahn Invitational at Oberlin College on Saturday.

Action at the Marv Frye Invite on the track will start at 2:00 p.m., with a rolling schedule. For more information, CLICK HERE.

The Bob Kahn Invite at Oberlin will begin with field events starting at 11:00 a.m. Women's pole vault is scheduled to be the first event. For more information, CLICK HERE.

Case Western Reserve is coming off another strong performance at the Centre Invitational last weekend, with the men placing first and the women finishing fourth in the team standings at the meet.

Currently two different individual Spartan men have registered marks that rank among the top-20 competitors in Division III this season. Senior Galen Caldwell is 17th in Division III with a time of 9:36.58 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, while junior Andrew Ibibo is 20th with a time of 49.11 in the 400-meter dash. In addition, the men's 4x400-meter relay team of Ibibo, freshman Jonathan Haling, sophomore Joseph Cabral and senior Nathaniel Wahner are 20th among Division III competitors with a time of 3:20.15.
