Spartan Men's Track and Field Compete in Gator Invitational

MEADVILLE, Pa. - The Case Western Reserve University men's track and field team competed in their first outdoor last chance meet at the 2015 Gator Invitational hosted by Allegheny College.

The men's 4x400-meter relay team finished second overall as junior Jonathan Freeman(Houston, Texas/Awty International School), Nico Ericksen-Deriso (Boulder, Colo./Boulder), junior Devon Belew (Kansas City, Mo./Park Hill) and sophomore Nathaniel Wahner (Drexel Hill, Pa./Upper Darby) crossed the finish line with a time of 3:20.05.

Senior Mark Kulinski (Oil City, Pa./Venango Catholic) finished third in the pole vault with a final jump of 4.81 meters. Junior Josh Malone (Berea, Ohio/Berea) finished third in the long jump with a leap of 6.24 meters. 

In the throws, senior Sam Reusser (Orrville, Ohio/Orrville) finished fifth in the shot put with a toss of 14.35 meters.

A select group of Spartans will now travel to the Ron Althoff Invitational hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University at Selby Stadium on Monday, May 11 to compete in another last chance meet.
