Spartan Men Compete at Sparky Adams Invitational

BEREA, Ohio – The Case Western Reserve University men's track & field team competed for the final time ahead of the University Athletic Association Outdoor Championship at Saturday's Sparky Adams Invitational hosted at The George Finnie Stadium.

The Spartans claimed the top three places in the pole vault as sophomore Jared Brucker (Hamburg, N.Y./Hamburg), junior Mark Kulinski (Oil City, Pa./Venango Cathlic) and senior John Marshall (Sturgis, Mich./Sturgis) finished 1-2-3. Brucker cleared the bar at 14 feet, seven and one-quarter inches, while Kulinski vaulted 14'1.25". Marshall hit a mark of 13'7.25".

In the 1,500-meter run, senior Eric Dong (Brecksville, Ohio/Brecksville-Broadview Heights) finished fifth with a time of 4:17.15.

CWRU will now travel to Chicago to compete at the UAA Outdoor Championship Meet hosted at Amos Alonzo Stagg Field on April 26-27.
