Spartan Men Compete at Greater Cleveland Championship

BEREA, Ohio – A trio of Spartans won individual events as a small contingent from the Case Western Reserve University men's track & field team competed at the 2014 Greater Cleveland College Championship hosted on Friday at the Harrison Dillard Track.

Most of the team's top scorers rested this week in preparation of next weekend's conference championship meet.

In track events, freshman Nathaniel Wahner (Drexel Hill, Pa./Upper Darby) won the 400-meter dash with a time of 54.67. Joining Wahner on the winners' podium was sophomore Gilad Doron (Wynnewood, Pa./Lower Merion), who ran a 9:34.90 in the 3000m run.

In the field, sophomore Colton Sullivan (Washougal, Wash./Washougal) cleared five feet, 11 and one-quarter inch to claim the top spot in the high jump.

CWRU next competes at the University Athletic Association Indoor Championship Meet, hosted by Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. The two-day event begins on Friday, February 28 at noon.
