2012: Threw an indoor personal-best mark of 42’6.25” in the shot put during the B-W Mid-February Meet…racked up a personal-best weight throw of 43’1.75” during the Battle for the Obelisk…recorded an outdoor personal best in the shot put with a throw of 42’10.5” at the Marv Frye Invitational…launched the discus a personal-best distance of 121’8.25” at the 2012 VMI-W&L Carnival…threw the hammer for a personal-best mark of 127’2” at the All-Ohio Outdoor Championship.

2011: Recorded an indoor season-best shot put of 40’5.5” at the Battle for the Obelisk…threw the weight an indoor season-best distance of 39’7” at the Spartan Relays…hit an outdoor-best shot put mark of 40’6.5” at the Marv Frye Invitational.

Personal: Earned one varsity letter in track & field as well as two in wrestling and football at nearby Geneva High School…2009 first-team All-North Eastern Conference in football as well as first-team all-district and All-Ohio Special Mention…two-time second-team all-conference and district qualifier in wrestling…placed sixth in the district in the discus throw in 2010…honor roll student…graduated sixth in senior class…son of John and Dolores Leishman.
