TAMPA, Fla. – A trio of Case Western Reserve University men's track & field student-athletes posted top-10 finishes as the team opened the outdoor portion of its 2012 schedule at the Division I heavy Bulls Invitational. The 24-team event was hosted by the University of South Florida on Friday inside the USF Track & Field Stadium.
In the 3,000-meter run, sophomore Corey Williams (Massillon, Ohio/Perry) posted a time of 9:04.02 to finish in eighth-place, while senior Ethan Teare (Burton, Ohio/Berkshire) finished right on Williams' heels in 10th registering a time of 9:06.99.
Junior Cameron Lee (New Brighton, Minn./Irondale) rounded out Case's top-10 showings with a ninth-place leap of 41 feet, five inches during the triple jump.
The Spartans have a week off from competition before heading south once again to take part in the Virginia Military Institute-Washington & Lee Carnival on Friday, March 23 in Lexington, Virginia.
