    The 12th-ranked Case Western Reserve University men’s tennis team continued its strong start to the 2020 campaign, picking up 9-0 wins over a pair of North Coast Athletic Conference programs - the College of Wooster and Oberlin College – at the Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion in Cleveland, Ohio on Friday.

  • #12 Spartans Return to Cleveland Friday to Face Wooster & Oberlin

    The Case Western Reserve University men’s tennis team, ranked 12th in Division III, will return home to Cleveland this weekend to face the College of Wooster and Oberlin College on, Friday, February 14 at the Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion. The Spartans are slated to take on Wooster at 1:00 p.m., followed by a 5:00 matchup against Oberlin.

    The 12th-ranked Case Western Reserve University men’s tennis team will get its 2020 spring season started this weekend, when the Spartans face the University of Northwestern Ohio on Friday, February 7 at 7:00 p.m. at the Twos Athletic Club in Toledo, Ohio, and then travel to Holland, Michigan to take on the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology at 11:30 a.m. and Hope College at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 8.

    Play began at the 2019 Intercollegiate Tennis Association Cup on Thursday in Rome, Georgia, as Case Western Reserve University first-year James Hopper and junior Matthew Chen won a match to reach the quarterfinals of the doubles draw, while Hopper reached the quarterfinals of the singles draw, before suffering the first loss of his collegiate career.

    Case Western Reserve University junior Matthew Chen and first-year James Hopper will travel to the Rome Tennis Center at Berry College in Rome, Georgia to compete at the 2019 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Cup from Thursday, October 17th through Sunday, October 20th.  Hopper will be participating in the singles draw, and will be teaming up with Chen to compete in the doubles draw at the event.

In addition, Chen and Hopper teamed up to make the semifinals of the doubles draw, along with senior Zach Hennessey and junior Jonathan Powell.
