    The Case Western Reserve University men’s tennis team, ranked 18th in Division III, put a bow on its Florida trip on Friday, ending its Spring Break with a 7-2 win over seventh-ranked Amherst College and an 8-1 victory over Dickinson College at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida.

    The 14th-ranked Case Western Reserve University men’s tennis team continued play in Florida on Wednesday, opening the day with an 8-1 win over Austin College at the Lake Eva Tennis Center in Haines City, before suffering a 5-4 setback to 13th-ranked Kenyon College later in the day in Orlando at the USTA National Campus.

  • No. 14 CWRU Wins Three Matches on Monday

    The Case Western Reserve University men’s tennis team, ranked 14th in Division III, claimed three wins in three matches on Monday, defeating both Hampden-Sydney College and Wheaton College (Ill.) by 9-0 scores at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, Florida, and then traveling to the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida later in the day to top Webber International 7-2.

    Case Western Reserve University freshman Aaron Umen battled his way to a third-set tiebreaker win at third singles to help the 18th-ranked Spartans defeat the 10th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University Tartans 5-4 in the consolation semifinals at the ITA Indoor National Championships in Pepper Pike, Ohio at the Cleveland Racquet Club on Saturday.

    The Case Western Reserve University men’s tennis team started off strong and grabbed an early lead against third-ranked Chicago in the opening round match of the 2019 Intercollegiate Tennis Association Indoor National Championships on Friday afternoon, but the 18th-ranked Spartans’ upset bid ultimately fell short in a 6-3 loss to the Maroons at the Cleveland Racquet Club in Pepper Pike, Ohio.
