The Case Western Reserve University men's tennis team wrapped up play at a pair of weekend competitions on Sunday, finishing up at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Central Regional Championships and the Toledo Invitational.

Unseeded sophomore Sam Concannon was the team's last singles player standing in the main draw, but suffered a 6-1, 6-4 setback to Chicago's Jeremy Yuan, seeded ninth overall, in the quarterfinals.  In the semifinals of the consolation draw, freshman Vivi Vemula dropped a 6-2, 6-2 decision to Chicago's Luke Tsai, seeded 17th, while sophomore Anthony Kanam fell in three sets to Washington's Bernardo Nieves in the consolation quarterfinals, 3-6, 6-3, 10-5.  In Sunday's doubles action, sophomores Siddharth Rajupet and Henry Squire reached the finals of the doubles consolation draw with an 8-4 win over Peter Alex and Sam Totten of Augustana.

CWRU players combined for records of 19-10 in singles play and 8-4 in doubles matches over the course of the weekend.

The rest of the Spartan squad traveled to Toledo, Ohio for the Toledo Invitational.  Facing mostly Division I completion in a hidden dual format, sophomore Rajeev Laungani and freshmen Will Grier and Austin Lawrence each collected singles victories during the weekend.

The Spartans will conclude their fall season next weekend at the University of Northwestern Ohio Invitational in Lima, Ohio on Saturday, October 7 and Sunday, October 8.
