Sophomore (2017-18): Received the first All-UAA recognition of his career, claiming a spot on the second team for his play at no. 3 singles, and an honorable mention for his efforts at no. 1 doubles with James Fojtasek… Teamed with Fojtasek to form the eighth-ranked doubles pairing in the final Central Region rankings…  Registered a 28-10 singles record during the season, marking the third-most singles victories in a campaign in program history, and only two victories shy of the program’s single-season record… His .737 singles winning percentage during the year was the 13th-highest in program history… Led the team in doubles wins in 2017-18, going 25-16, which tied him for the 12th-most doubles victories in a campaign in program history… Was 12-5 as the team’s no. 3 singles player in the spring… Went 9-4 with Fojtasek in no. 1 doubles matches during the spring… Won eight of his last nine doubles matches during the year, including a 2-1 record at the UAA Championships… Also went 2-1 in singles play at the UAA Championship… Went 11-3 in singles play and 8-6 in doubles action in the fall…   teamed with Josh Hsia in the doubles draw of the ITA Fall Central Region Championships and won a pair of matches to reach the round of 16 at the tournament… Also reached the quarterfinals of the consolation draw in the singles tournament… Named an ITA Scholar Athlete and received UAA All-Academic recognition… Finished his sophomore season ranked 14th in school history in singles wins (44-15) and fifth with a .746 singles winning percentage… Also 14th in program history in career doubles wins (44-29) and 19th with a .603 career doubles winning percentage.

Personal: Was a four-year member of the Jackson High School tennis team, serving as a team co-captain from 2013-16... Was coached by Louis Thomas...
