PITTSFORD, N.Y. – Case Western Reserve University junior CJ Krimbill (Scottsdale, Ariz./Desert Mountain) has been named the University Athletic Association Men's Tennis Player of the Week, which was announced by the league office on Monday, for the sixth time in his career and third time this season.
Krimbill went three sets in the national semifinals against Skyler Butts of team champion Claremont Mudd-Scripps Colleges, but after a split after two sets Butts earned a 6-1 victory in the third set to advance to the national championship.
Krimbill and his doubles partner Louis Stuerke (Overland Park, Kan./Blue Valley Northwest) concluded the NCAA Division III Doubles Championships run in the semifinals. Stuerke and Krimbill finish the season as a top-four doubles team in Division III and earned All-America honors.
For the season, Krimbill was named the 2015 University Athletic Association Men's Tennis Most Valuable Player.
Krimbill, who earned first-team All-UAA honors at No. 1 singles and second-team recognition at No. 1 doubles finished the UAA Men's Tennis Championship undefeated in both singles and doubles.
