Spartan Men's Tennis Swept in Spring Opener at Toledo

TOLEDO, Ohio -- Playing in its first action of the spring season, the Case Western Reserve University men's tennis team was swept by Division I University of Toledo, 9-0, on Friday, January 28.

The Spartans drop to 1-1 in dual matches and will return to action on Friday, February 4 versus the University of Chicago (IL) at 6:00 p.m. (CT). The match will be played at the University of Notre Dame's Eck Tennis Center in South Bend, Indiana.

Toledo (2-1) swept through doubles competition and captured all six singles matches. Spartan freshman Eric Klawitter (Arlington Heights, IL/John Hershey) forced his opponent, Bryant Dudzik, to a third-set tiebreaker at the No. 4 position, but eventually lost 6-4, 3-6, 14-12.
