The Case Western Reserve University swimming and diving teams will wrap up the fall portion of their 2019-20 schedule this weekend, when the team travels to Wooster, Ohio for the Wooster Invitational from Thursday, December 5th through Saturday, December 7th.
Action at the Ellen Shapiro Natatorium will begin on Thursday with preliminaries at 11:00 a.m., with finals to follow later in the day at 7:00 p.m. On Friday, preliminaries are slated for a 10:00 a.m. start, with finals at 6:00 p.m. The meet will conclude on Saturday with 10:00 a.m. preliminaries and 5:00 p.m. finals.

The meet will be the first invitational-style competition for the Spartans this season.
Last season, the CWRU women totaled 2,163 points to finish first at the meet, marking the fourth-straight season that the team has won the competition. Junior Caitlyn VonFeldt paced the squad in the 200-yard backstroke, claiming the title with a time of 2:03.72. She also earned a second-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke (57.54) during the second day of the meet. In addition, the women's 200-yard freestyle relay team and the women's 400-yard medley relay set school-records during the first day of the Wooster Invite.
The CWRU men also finished in first-place during the 2018 Wooster Invitational, totaling 2,025 points. It marked the squad's ninth-straight first-place finish at the meet. Sophomore Calvin Tecson finished first in the 100-yard individual medley with a time 52.60, while junior Sean Twomey claimed wins in the 200-yard individual medley (1:54.27) and the 400-yard individual medley (4:07.32).
