The Case Western Reserve University men's and women's swimming and diving teams will travel to NCAA Division II Ashland University for a meet at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 2nd.
Both the CWRU men's and women's squads are 0-1 on the team, following losses to Carnegie Mellon University last Saturday.
First-year Maria Pritchett headlined the women's performances, winning the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:58.75 and also claiming the title in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:12.33. In addition, Pritchett was a member of the 200-yard freestyle relay team with junior Caitlyn VonFeldt, sophomore Daniella Rupert and sophomore Sarah Krueger that won the event with a time of 1:40.31.
For the men, sophomore Calvin Tecson won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 21.38. The men's 200-yard freestyle relay team of Tecson, first-year Anatole Borisov, first-year Will Bryant and first-year Andrew Smith earned a first-place finish with a mark of 1:27.06.
The Ashland men and women will be competing in their first dual meet on Friday at Ohio Wesleyan University, before hosting the Spartans on Saturday. This will be the first meeting between the two schools during the Coach Milliken era.
