The Case Western Reserve University swimming and diving team will send a small contingent of swimmers to compete at the Midwest Invitational at the University of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois this weekend.
With the University Athletic Association Championships happening this past weekend, only a few Spartans will make the trip to Chicago for the meet. Currently scheduled to attend for the Spartan men are senior Vinicius Okada da Silva, junior Eli Rose, sophomores Nathan Callithen, Adam Fisher and Chris Lemley, and freshmen Seth Brown and Mathias Hostetler. The women that are currently scheduled to attend the invite are juniors Aleah Hixenbaugh, Rhiannon Reese, Corri Sept and Elizabeth Ye, and freshmen Mary Eggers, Kennzie Hartmann, C.J. Hill, Kelly Moton, Elizabeth Shumaker and Emili Toppari.
The meet is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. ET on Friday, February 22nd and resume on Saturday, February 24th with preliminaries at 12:00 p.m. ET and finals at 6:00 p.m. ET.
The Spartan women are currently ranked 20th in Division III and the men are ranked 21st, according to the College Swimming Coaches Association of America poll.
Results from the meet will be posted daily to athletics.case.edu, with a recap of the Spartans' performances at the meet to be posted following the completion of competition on Saturday.
